Lena J. Muñoz is a blood member of the Benton Paiute Tribe (California)
and the Ysleta Tigua Tribe (Texas).  She is blessed with the gift to create
wonderful two and three-dimensional works of art.  In 1973 the Ysleta
Tigua Tribe renovated their arts program and Lena was introduced to
traditional pottery.  She went on to earn an AFA from the Institute of
American Indian Arts (IAIA) in Santa Fe, NM and a Bachelors of Art from
the College of Santa Fe in 1984.  In 1985, Lena continued her education
as an intern at the Museum of Indian Arts and Culture.
She has done various art shows throughout the Southwest and continues
to do pottery and pastel paintings.  Lena spent nine years teaching in
public schools where she shared her desire to integrate art in all subject
areas.
Lena finds great pleasure in sharing her knowledge and passion for art to
everyone.

" Lena is one extraordinary person you will love to meet.
She brings Magic in her works of art. The mix, the  textures and
colors she employs, creates a resonance of peace & harmony
with Mother Earth.
You will want to have one of her peaces in your collection"
